This notice covers the contact form on briefingworks.com and the visit counting behind it. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from a third party, which is why there is no cookie banner.

What is collected

From the form, only what you type into it: your name, your work email address, your agency if you give one, and your message.

Separately, the site counts visits using Vercel Web Analytics. It records the page visited, the referring site, and coarse details such as country, browser and device type. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, and builds no profile or identifier that could follow you to another site.

Why, and on what basis

Form details are used to reply to your enquiry and to prepare for a call. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in answering a business enquiry. The visit counting rests on Article 6(1)(f) as well, the legitimate interest in knowing whether anyone reads the page.

Who else sees it

Your submission is passed to a Cloudflare Worker, which sends it on as an email through Google’s Gmail API. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep standard request logs that include IP addresses, and who provide the visit counting. Cloudflare, Google and Vercel act as processors. No other party receives your details, and they are never used for marketing lists or sold.

How long it is kept

The email is kept while the conversation is live and for as long as business records require afterwards. If nothing comes of the enquiry, it is deleted within twenty four months. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner. Analytics figures are aggregated and hold nothing that identifies you.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction of it, erasure of it, restriction of its processing, a copy of it in portable form, or object to its processing. Write to amer@briefingworks.com and you will have an answer within a month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.

What briefingworks does not hold

Nothing from the work itself. A briefingworks pipeline runs on the client’s own infrastructure under their own accounts, so no article text, client name or briefing ever reaches a system briefingworks controls. This notice is about the website, and the website is all there is to disclose.
